Connies Friday Book Review

My Friday Book Review.

I have always loved to read but have struggled for a few years reading printed novels. I am not keen on either large print or audio books for general reading. So I was delighted to be given a Kindle Fire. I have never looked back and before you all say the cost is prohibitive. I should state that I have never spent any money on books for my kindle.

There are more than enough FREE books to never need to spend a penny. Sure it may take a while to complete a series but hey, I am nothing if not patient. I have decided to share my love and hopefully encourage more people to read books. Either on the Kindle or in printed form.

“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book.”
– Groucho Marx

Every Friday I will review my favourite book of the week. Some will be pet related but there will also be Non Fiction, Mysteries, Fantasy and even the odd or very odd Erotic Novel.

I am sure there will be something for all my readers to try out. Comments on books that I may like to try are more than welcome.

My top 5 books as a child are as follows:-

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell

Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis

Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey

Roderick Alleyn Mysteries by Ngaio Marsh

Miss Marple [NOT Poirot] by Agatha Christie

Comment what would make your Top 5.

Currently reading the original books by L.J. Smith that TV Series The Vampire Diaries were  based, very loosely based on.
